It’s time for a FUNK phenomena!
For over two decades Rafael Ximenez and Mikio Gruschinske have each worked their way up the DJ Community and electronic music industry ladder. The duo would go on to be known the quintessential music producers for some of dances more standout sounds, an updated version of HipHouse reinvented for the new EDM world.
Over the years they have sparked the interest of fellow DJs with their releases. Like their collaboration ‘Who’ with Tujamo which became a worldwide hit; played by the likes of Tiesto, Steve Angello, Nicky Romero and Afrojack. Since its success Plastik Funk has consistently gained peak positions on the international dance and Beatport charts. Their most popular release “Dr.Who! (Original Mix), cracked the top 20 on the overall UK singles chart.

Plastik Funk’s touring schedule has led them from Brazil to Japan and everywhere in between.

2014 was record breaking season playing for Tomorrowland, Pacha NYC, Ultra Miami & Ultra Europe, several asia tours and landing a residency at NeonSplash at Privilege in Ibiza. All apexed with a personal invite from global superstar, Avicii to play at the world famous Ushuaia in Ibiza as part of his Sunday night residency. 2016 sees the duo being the main resident of the Holi Gaudy festivals, as well as „Road to Ultra“-Festivals, residencies at Privilege Ibiza, F-Club Singapore, Mixx Clubs in Thailand and countless electronic music festivals all over the world. 2016 has started well and already saw the duo in the Beatport Top20 (#6 House) with their single: „Y I LEFT U“ together with My Digital Enemy. After a release on mighty Flamingo Records, they started their cooperation with Armada Music, bringing several new singles on the Armada Deep & Armada Trice imprints.

It’s going to be another busy year!
